The Boardwalk Series

I have always been fascinated by the structures at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, especially the Giant Dipper, which was finished in 1924. Construction took only 47 days, yet it has survived well since then. The color and playfulness of the rides hide the engineering design that keeps everyone safe. As an artist, I am drawn to the shapes and angles of things.
